Support local small scale fishers.

We are the Jersey fishing fleet. The guardians of our waters. Our ocean knowledge runs deep.
We are hard workers, business owners, ocean advocates and members of our island community.

This is our manifesto.
Don Thompson - President, Jersey Fishermens Association
“We are at a pivotal moment in history. The ending of 177 years of the Granville Bay Treaty presents us with a unique opportunity to take full control of management of our fish stocks and marine environment.
I want to see the revival of our fishing community. Our fishermen and women able to access a fair share of our fish stocks. I want to see our public, both current and future generations enjoy locally, sustainably caught seafood. I especially want to see everyone able to respect, enjoy and celebrate Jersey's incredibly rich seas and the pristine offshore reefs and islets.
I call on all who wish to share and protect what is rightfully ours, our marine environment, and fish stocks, to work together, support our manifesto and ensure that there is political will to grasp this once in a life time opportunity.”

The benefits of supporting the manifesto
